We are now hiring for the winter season! 

 

All of the following front of house jobs are available from late June and require a minimum commitment until the end of October when the busy ski season finishes. Applicants wanting to stay for a shorter period won't be considered. You must be able to stop by for a trial shift. All candidates must have the right to work in NZ. Accommodation is available.

Duty Manager

We seek a Duty Manager with a current LCQ/Manager’s certificate to work at our busy bar. Our ideal candidate is highly customer service oriented and has a passion for hospitality, knows how to pour beers and take orders on the till. Experience in a similar fast-paced environment is an absolute a must. The role is rostered full time and mainly involves evening shifts incl. weekends.

Barista/Food Runner

We seek a professional and efficient barista who is passionate about making coffees, knows how to pour the perfect espresso shot, dial the coffee grinder in and do latte art. The job also encompasses several other front of house duties that will keep your day varied and interesting. Front of house/waiting experience is therefore also essential. 

The role is full-time and mostly consists of early starts, providing an engaging breakfast service to our hotel guests, and working until late to cover après ski. You will be covering 2-3 morning shifts on the coffee machine when our head barista is on their days off, and work floor shifts for the rest of the week.

Sous Chef

We are on the hunt for an experienced full-time Sous Chef to join our kitchen team! The ideal candidate will be service-oriented, have extensive food knowledge, and display creative flair.

POSITION DETAILS:

  • Support the head chef in running the kitchen, stock management, food safety and team development
  • Supervise kitchen team in absence of the head chef
  • Ensure high quality and presentation of all dishes

Three years of experience is essential for this role, and preference will be given to permanent residents/those with at least 6 months on their work visa. This role is available with an immediate start. 

Chef de Partie

The ideal candidate will be fully qualified and available to start right away. Minimum commitment is until the end of October when the busy winter season finishes. 

  • Great role for someone wanting fixed evening shifts
  • Approx. hours are 3pm-close

Two years of experience in a similar fast-paced environment is required and experience in cooking Kiwi/wester cuisine is a must. Preference will be given to permanent residents or those with at least 6 months on their work visa. 

Dishy/Kitchenhand

We seek motivated team players who support our busy kitchen as dishwasher/kitchenhand this winter season. This is a tough job - experience in the kitchen is preferred, but a great work ethic and positive 'can-do' attitude is most important. Full training will be provided if needed. The job consists of morning, daytime and evening/closing shifts.
