Barista / Server in our Bakery

The Cardrona Hotel is growing and we're looking for a full-time barista/server to join our new busy bakery!

We're looking for someone who:

- Has experience taking customer orders in a cafe/bakery.

- Has at least one year of barista experience  in a busy cafe, knows how to dial in the coffee machine, pull the perfect espresso shot and do lattee art. 

- Can commit to at least 3 months, but ideally throughout summer and long-term.

The role is available from 1st September. 

You must be able to stop by for a chat and trial shift.

Bartender

Experience behind the bar is essential. Our ideal candidate will have worked in a similar fast-paced pub before, knows how to pour beers and to take orders on the till. You also need to be highly customer service oriented and enjoy interacting with people. This role is rostered full-time and involves day, evening, and weekend shifts.

The role is available from October. We need all candidates to commit to at least 3 months of work, but ideally to the whole spring and summer season.  You must be able to stop by for a trial shift. Staff accommodation is available to the right candidate.

Candidates must have the right to work in NZ.

Chef de Partie

We require an experienced, adaptable Chef de Partie with a broad skill set who loves to work in a busy kitchen. A minimum of 2 years experience in a similar fast-paced environment is required. Experience in cooking Kiwi / western cuisine is a must.

• Great role for someone wanting fixed evening shifts.
• This is a long-term role and available with an immediate start.

Preference will be given to permanent residents or those with at least 6 months on their work visa. You need to be able to stop by for a trial shift and interview.

Dishy/Kitchenhand

We are looking for a motivated team player to join our busy kitchen as dishwasher/kitchenhand. This is a tough and physical job - experience in the kitchen (basic food prep and washing dishes) is preferred, but a great work ethic and positive 'can-do' attitude is most important. Full training will be provided if needed. The job consists of morning, daytime and evening/closing shifts.

The job is available from 1st September and we require a minimum commitment of 3 months.

Duty Manager

We seek a Duty Manager with a current LCQ/Manager’s certificate to work at our busy bar. Our ideal candidate is highly customer service oriented and has a passion for hospitality, knows how to pour beers and take orders on the till. Experience in a similar fast-paced environment is an absolute a must. The role is rostered full time and mainly involves evening shifts incl. weekends.

This is a long term role available from mid-September. 

You must hold a valid NZ work visa and able to stop by for an interview and trial shift.

Housekeeper

We are looking for motivated team players to join our housekeeping team. Experience is necessary. 

This position is rostered full time and available from early September. You must be able to stop by for a trial shift. 

We require a minimum commitment of 3 months, but ideally, you can stay here for the whole spring and summer season.

Restaurant Wait Staff

We are looking for motivated team players who are happy to work the late shift in our restaurant, leaving the mornings free to enjoy life. Experience working in busy restaurants offering table service is a must.

The role is rostered full-time. A typical shift will be from 3pm until close, or a 12pm until quiet.

The role is available from October. Minimum commitment is 3 months, but ideally, you can work here for the whole spring and summer season. You must be able to stop by for a trial shift. Staff accommodation is available to the right applicants.
